Ash Wednesday, No Fat Tuesday here
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the 40 day Lenten period. This is a time of fasting & repentance. Ashes are mixed with oil and used to draw a cross of the forehead. This is regarded as a symbol of penance. Ashes are used in this manner in the Bible by Job and Daniel. The ashes also remind of of the day when we will stand before God and be judged.
Retreat to the wilderness with Jesus.

It's always good to find a fellow believer. There is a big difference between a "Christian" and someone who really loves Jesus.
It seems that being a Christian today is more of a political designation that I'd rather not be part of. I want people to see me follow Jesus.
